Common questions

YouTube channel analytics FAQ

What public analytics can and cannot show.

Can I see analytics for any YouTube channel?

You can see public data for any channel, such as subscribers, views, and uploads. Private metrics like watch time, retention, click-through rate, and real revenue are only visible to the channel owner in YouTube Studio.

How are the earnings estimated?

Estimated monthly views are multiplied by typical RPM ranges for the channel’s category and audience country. The real-life range is more conservative to reflect that not every view earns revenue.

Why do the earnings look different from Social Blade?

Each tool uses different view estimates and RPM assumptions. Treat any public estimate as a rough range rather than an exact figure.

How accurate are subscriber counts?

YouTube abbreviates public subscriber counts for larger channels, so counts may be rounded. Channels can also hide their subscriber count entirely.
