No generated suggestions are mixed into an extracted result. If the video has no returned tags, Cutlark says so.

Research the pattern

Compare several relevant videos to see recurring names, phrases, and spelling variations.

Keep only relevant tags

A tag should accurately describe your own video. Unrelated competitor tags do not create relevance.

Treat tags as supporting metadata

Prioritize the title, thumbnail, description, and the video itself. Use tags mainly for useful variations and misspellings.

Common questions

YouTube tag extractor FAQ

What the result contains, why some videos return nothing, and how tags actually fit into discovery.

Generate relevant tags

How do I extract tags from a YouTube video?

Paste a public YouTube video or Shorts URL and select Extract tags. Cutlark reads the tags associated with that video and lets you copy one tag or the complete list.

Are these the exact tags used by the video creator?

The result contains the tags YouTube returns in the video metadata. Cutlark does not invent, expand, or reorder them. A video with no returned tags will show no tags found.

Why does a YouTube video have no tags?

Tags are optional. A creator may leave the field empty, or YouTube may not return tags for that video. This does not mean the video cannot rank or be discovered.

Do YouTube tags improve video rankings?

YouTube says tags usually play a minimal role in discovery. They are most useful for commonly misspelled topics. The title, thumbnail, description, video content, relevance, engagement, and quality matter more.

Can I copy another video’s tags?

You can study public tags for research, but only reuse tags that truthfully describe your own video. Copying unrelated or misleading metadata does not make a video relevant and may violate YouTube policies.

Build the rest of the video package.

Pair relevant tags with a stronger YouTube title and check the artwork with the Thumbnail Preview.
